Our final guest, Jon Allen, discusses the challenges and opportunities of being a US-based leader of an organisation that works locally, addressing the complex issues of water and sanitation service delivery.
Dr. Mariam Zaqout
Mariam is a Palestinian interdisciplinary researcher with over 6 years of experience on the political economy of water across UK, South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.She currently works as part of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water based at University College London. She is also passionate about advocating for better livelihoods for sanitation workers in challenging contexts.
Jon Allen
Jon is the Chief Program Officer for Water for Good, a global organization dedicated to working with local communities in ensuring sustainable drinking water supply and holistic water and sanitation services. For the last 15 years, he held different roles on the operational side as well as serving as the CEO for 5 years. He identifies himself as a supportive faith driven leader who is focused on efficiency and creative approaches to complex problems.
